Cloud Infrastructure Architect – VMware to AWS Migration

Why This Role Stands Out

This is not a routine cloud support role.

You will be part of a large-scale enterprise cloud transformation program, working on end-to-end migration of on-prem VMware workloads to AWS. This role offers deep exposure to hybrid cloud architecture, AWS networking, and next-gen VMware on AWS (EVS).

What You’ll Do

• Lead and execute VMware to AWS migration initiatives (data center ? cloud)
• Work with Elastic VMware Service (EVS) for enterprise workload migration
• Design and implement AWS VPC networking architectures, including:
• CIDR planning, subnets, routing strategies
• Route tables, NAT gateways, and internet gateways
• Security groups and NACLs
• Deploy and manage Amazon FSx for enterprise storage use cases
• Build and maintain hybrid connectivity (on-prem ? AWS)
• Implement load balancing solutions (ALB / NLB)
• Troubleshoot network and infrastructure performance issues
• Collaborate with DevOps, platform, and application teams
• Create architecture diagrams, migration runbooks, and documentation

What We’re Looking For Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience in VMware infrastructure (vSphere / ESXi)
• Hands-on experience with AWS (VPC, EC2, networking)
• Experience in cloud migration/data centre transformation projects
• Strong understanding of:
• VPC design, CIDR, routing
• Hybrid connectivity concepts
• Load balancing

Good to Have (Not Mandatory)

• Exposure to VMware on AWS / EVS
• Experience with Amazon FSx / EFS/storage solutions
• Knowledge of AWS Direct Connect / VPN
• Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• AWS Certifications

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 10+ years in cloud infrastructure/data center engineering
• Hands-on, engineering-focused (not just support/operations)
• Experience working in enterprise migration or transformation programs
